| This new Superformance GT40 is presented as Dan Gurney's, Le Mans winner, including the "Gurney Bubble" in the roof. The new rolling chassis No. 21 was delivered to us November 06. The mechanicals have been built up around a Roush 353 cubic inch engine producing 454 hp and 418 ft/lb torque. The basis of the Roush engine is a period correct 289/302 Ford small block. State of the art electronic engine management controls electronic fuel injection applied to Pierce throttle bodies maintaining the appearance of the period Weber downdraft carburetors. The engine drives through a ZF, 5 speed transaxle. Less than 50 miles from completion.. |
